Bonnie L. (Lanzafame) Gochanour's Obituary
Bonnie L. (Lanzafame) Gochanour, 66, of East Syracuse, passed away at home on September 17, 2023 after a long illness. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Frank and Julia Lanzafame.
Bonnie retired from Wonder Bread in 2012 after 25 dedicated years. She enjoyed spending time at her family’s camp on Lake Ontario, reading books and time spent with family and friends. She also loved traveling with her partner in crime, her sister Jackie.
In addition to her parents, she is also predeceased by her husband, Kevin Gochanour, Sr. in 2016; brothers, Frank, Rossie, Robert Jimmy, Joey; and her sister, Karleen Sulton.
Bonnie is survived by her children, Valerie (Robert) Castro, Kevin Gochanour, Jr., Chris (Ulonda) Gochanour and Jaquan Williams; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; her sister, Jackie (Tom) Mento; her brother, Ron Lanzafame; sisters-in-law, Theresa (Donald) Smith, and Annette (Mark) Marino; several nieces and nephews, and her loving companion, her dog Shay.
A funeral Mass in celebration of Bonnie’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, September 22, 2023 in St. Matthew’s Church, East Syracuse. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. She will be laid to rest next to her husband privately in Assumption Cemetery.
