Br. Gabriel (Carmen) Fiumano, FSC's Obituary
Br. Gabriel (Carmen) Fiumano, FSC. passed away peacefully at the Christian Brothers Home at De La Salle Hall, Lincroft NJ on May 13, 2024. He was born in Syracuse and graduated from CBA in 1947. He attended Lemoyne College and received the Habit of the Christian Brothers 11/20/1948. Br. Gabe ministered and taught at numerous Lasallian schools. His last assignment was at CBA in Syracuse NY for almost 40 years.
He is predeceased by his parents, Anthony, and Antoinette Fiumano; his siblings: Pasquale (Rose) Fiumano, Mary Fiumano, and Antoinette (John) Curran.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews: Carol (Mike) Verone, David, Robert and Michael Fiumano, Kathy Curran, and Jack (JoAnn) Curran; his great nieces and nephews: Danielle Verone (Mike Loguidice), Michelle Verone, Kelly Curran (Billy Silverole), Christy Bresnahan, Reggie, Brooklyn and Jesse Fiumano, Jenna Coffman (Ryan), as well as great-great nieces and nephew, Giavanna and Olivia Murray, Piper and Will Silverole.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Immaculate Conception Church, Fayetteville, NY, followed by interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Br. Gabe Fiumano, FSC scholarship at CBA Syracuse 6245 Randall Rd Syracuse NY 13214.
