Brian Murphy's Obituary
Brian Murphy, 51, of North Syracuse, passed away Friday at home after a long illness with his loving wife by his side. He was born in Oswego and was a graduate of Central Square High School. Brian grew up on the family farm in Caughdenoy before becoming a plumber with Peterson Plumbing and Heating for over 10 years. He was an avid sports and SU fan who also enjoyed golfing and softball for many years. The most important things in Brian's life were his family. He lived for his wife and daughter who were the apple of his eye. Brian was a very caring and loving individual who will be greatly missed. He was predeceased by his father, Rev. Robert Murphy. Brian is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Barbara (DeLuca) Murphy; his daughter, Brittany Lee Murphy of North Syracuse; his mother, Joyce Cornell Murphy (Thomas Weatherup) of Central Square; 2 brothers, Bradley (Cindy) Murphy of Parish, NY and Patrick Murphy of DeBary, FL; a sister, Lori (John) Sadoski-Garofalo of Phoenix, NY along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, Rev. Mike Thesier will be officiating. Burial will follow in North Syracuse Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Brian's family would like to extend a special Thank You to Dr. Stephen Graziano and Ibrahim Thabet at the Regional Oncology Center.
