Bruno A. Carbone's Obituary
Bruno A. Carbone, 86, life resident of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 16, 2017 in St. Joseph’s Hospital after a short illness. After graduating from North High School, he worked at Penn Traffic until his retirement. Bruno enjoyed playing cards and meeting friends at Dunkin Donuts every morning for breakfast.
He was predeceased by his parents, Mary (DeMarte) and Rocco Carbone; sisters, Josephine Marnell, and Mary DeMaio; half-sisters, Cecelia Lockwood and Rose Allen.
Bruno is survived by nieces, Joanne Marnell of Syracuse and Carolyn Duerr (Art VanGelder) of North Syracuse; nephews, James (Kathy) Marnell of Rochester and Dominick (Marcia) Frijo of Liverpool, along with several great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Joann and Bill Emm for their care and friendship to Bruno.
Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd., (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Bruno’s life. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
