Camela J. (Croakman) Wilson's Obituary
Camela J. (Croakman) Wilson, age 57, of Clay, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 9, 2022. Born on August 23, 1964, in Lackawanna, NY, Cami is the daughter of the late Howard and Priscilla (Walker) Croakman, of Springville, NY.
Cami had been living in Clay, NY, for the past 10 years, but for most of her life, she lived, worked, and raised her family, in West Valley, NY. No matter where she called home, she loved a nice yard for her children/grandchildren to play in and good conversations with her neighbors.
Cami had worked in various customer service and administrative support roles, throughout her life. She loved helping people, and she was known for her soft voice and genuine compassion for others.
Above all else, Cami loved being a Mom and “Gramma.” She is reunited in Heaven with her late daughter, Jessica Wilson, of West Valley, NY, and she is survived by her daughters, Amanda Wilson (Mathew) Stock of Olean, NY and Alicia Wilson (Michael) McQuatters, of Cicero, NY.
Cami is also survived by 5 grandchildren – Adria Wilson McQuatters of Cicero, NY, Sophie Bartman, Cameron Bartman, James Stock, and Julian Stock of Olean, NY – two brothers & two sisters – Christopher (Tamara) Croakman of Springville, NY, Perry Croakman of Flagler Beach, FL, Becky Croakman of Springville, NY, and Rachel (Croakman) Herbert of West Valley, NY – and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 20th, at 10:00am, at Tannenbaum Lodge, located at 6787 Holiday Valley Road, Ellicottville, NY 14731. All who knew Cami are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the “Cami Wilson Care Package Fund,” created to benefit the homeless community in Syracuse, NY. Cami enjoyed handing out care packs, and her kindness will live on, by providing hygiene items and other essentials to those in need. To donate, visit: www.givesendgo.com/camicare.
