Camille Marie Accarino's Obituary
Camille Marie (Ingenito) Accarino, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Carthage for 18 years before moving to Syracuse. Camille graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelors Degree in Education and a Masters Degree as a Reading Specialist. She worked at Syracuse University Press as a proof reader and then was a teacher at Allen Road Elementary, retiring from the North Syracuse School District in 1993. Camille received the Business Woman of the Year award from ABWA in 1978 and was also honored as a Teacher of the Year for the North Syracuse School District. She was involved with Literacy Volunteers of Syracuse and was an avid reader.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph C. Accarino in 1990. Camille is survived by her children, Joseph of Tampa Bay, FL, John (Robin) of Clay, NY, Jennie (Bart) Gilpin of Tampa Bay, FL, Carla (Paul) Coglitore of Liverpool and Elva Stebbins of Syracuse; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 2 siblings, Gennaro Ingenito of Sun City Center, FL and Joanne DiGiovanni of Queens, NY.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 10:00 am at St. Rose of Lima Church. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Literacy Volunteers of Greater Syracuse.
