Camille A. Luteran (Cappelletti)'s Obituary
Camille A. Luteran (Cappelletti), 73, of Cicero, NY passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. She was born in Syracuse, NY on July 26, 1949, to the late John and Mary (Romano) Cappelletti. Camille grew up in the Northside and Eastwood neighborhoods of Syracuse and graduated from Henninger High School and Cornell University. An avid lifelong reader, she worked in libraries for most of her professional career, starting in children’s services at the Roy Pickard Cicero Free Library. After the death of her husband, Richard Luteran, in 2000, she completed her master’s in library science from Southern Connecticut State University online with a dial-up connection. She retired as a library manager in the Northern Onondaga Public Library system. She enjoyed dance, movies, birdwatching, sewing, and spending time near the water. She was a great mother and partner, and a devoted friend to many.
Camille was predeceased by her husband, Richard Luteran; sister, Mary Frances (Cappelletti) Nolan; mother, Mary (Romano) Cappelletti; and father, John V. Cappelletti.
Camille is survived by her daughter, Carrie Luteran; son, David Luteran, partner, Bruce D. Quilter; aunt, Dolly (Peter) Asterino; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service in celebration of Camille’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.), North Syracuse, NY. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2023, at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. The family requests that masks be worn at all services.
