On June 11, 2023, our mother, Camille N. (Quinto) Grosso went home to our Lord. She was 92 yrs. old. Camille was born on January 13, 1931 to Italian immigrants Prospero and Rose (Capurso) Quinto. They were married in 1949 and together had 4 children.
Camille was a long-time member of the Lincoln Republican Club and served as the Town of Salina Republican Committee Chairman for many years. She was also a volunteer at Francis House, was a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church and a member of their St. Theresa Society.
She was formerly employed at Flah’s Department Store in Syracuse NY. During retirement, she spent some time helping her son Joseph at his family business JMG Custom Homes.
Our mother enjoyed playing pitch each Tuesday and she loved frequenting local casinos. Mom also traveled to Italy many times to visit Bari, a place close to heart. Camille was a great friend to many people because of her “larger than life personality.”
She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Samuel A. Grosso, Sr. and her brother, Nicholas A Quinto.
Camille is survived by her 4 children, Karen Galster (Samuel), Samuel A. Grosso, Jr., Joseph M. Grosso and Steven J. Grosso (Jaclyn); 6 Grandchildren, Samuel, Nicholas, Deena, Julia, Joseph Jr. & Steven Jr.;
