Carla (Passafiume) McDonald's Obituary
Carla (Passafiume) McDonald “Aunt Carla”, 74, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2019 with her loving family around her. Carla was a lifetime resident of Syracuse, NY and graduated from North High School and Powelson Business Institute. She worked as a supervisor for Onondaga County DSS records department for 30 years. She was a talented crafter and avid reader.
Carla’s life long passion was spending time with her nephews and nieces and their children.
She was known as “Aunt Carla” to all their friends as well. Carla enjoyed Sunday dinners and laughing with tears at the joking and teasing from the boys.
She was predeceased by her father, Anthony Passafiume; her brother, Frank Passafiume and great-nephew, Phillip J. Smith.
Carla is survived by her mother, Philomena (Mancini) Passafiume; a sister, Linda (Michael) Orbino; nephews, Christopher Dardano, Adam (Yvonne) Smith, Michael (Sierra) Orbino and Anthony Orbino; several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 1 to 3 pm, immediately followed by a Funeral Service in celebration of Carla’s life at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
