Carmela M. (Vecchio) Zingaro's Obituary
Carmela M. (Vecchio) Zingaro 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 23, 2012, at the Francis House. Carmela was a member of the St. Margaret's Socialites and Altar Rosary Society and the Salina Seniors. She was employed by Chappell's for over 20 years before retiring. Carmela loved her family and was thrilled that her grandson Jason and his fiancé Kelly were getting married.
Carmela was predeceased by her husband Robert in 1989.
She is survived by her daughter Barbara J. (William C.) Dixon of Liverpool, her grandson Jason J. (Kelly Strawbridge) Dixon of Ithaca; her sisters: Mary Dyba of Syracuse, Frances (Frank) Geremski of Liverpool, and Josephine (Art) Barnello of North Syracuse; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday at 10:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and at 11:00am in St. Margaret's Church, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm..
