Carmella (Vecchio) Balduzzi's Obituary
Carmella (Vecchio) Balduzzi., 78, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully Friday at Community General Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born on the north side of Syracuse, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Ida (DiMauro) Vecchio. Carmella worked as a secretary for over 10 years at National Grange and was a member of San Egidio Abate Society Auxiliary serving as treasurer for many years.
She was predeceased by her brother, Tony Vecchio and brother in law, Jim McGarry. Carmella is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Frank Balduzzi, Sr. of Syracuse; her son, Frank (Kate) Balduzzi, Jr. of Syracuse; granddaughters, Sarah and Emily Balduzzi; sister, Eva McGarry of Glens Falls; sister-in-law, Lucy Vecchio of Syracuse, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and NOON in Our Lady Of Pompei/St. Peter Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
