Carmella Scarsi's Obituary
Carmella (Lupo) Scarsi, 91, of Syracuse passed away on Sunday at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Syracuse, she was employed with Syracuse China. Carmella was very dedicated to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she looked forward to her son's phone call every day at 7:30 from California. Her favorite saying's were "Blessings from the Lord" and "God Willing". Carmella was a very loving and giving person. She was predeceased by her parents, Saverio and Antoinette Lupo, her granddaughter, Susan Scarsi, brother, Lawrence Lupo, sisters, Rose McNally, Michaelina Tyminski and Anna Zerrillo. Carmella is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Angelo T. Scarsi; her four children, John (Patricia) Scarsi of California; Patricia (William) Halpin of Baldwinsville; Carleen (Paul) Smith of Liverpool and Angela (Tom) Bersani of Liverpool; grandchildren, John and Lisa Scarsi, Michael Scarsi, Mark and Laura Scarsi, Christopher and Amy Scarsi, William and Hollie Halpin, Shawn and Dana Halpin, Patrick and Pamela Halpin, Kathleen and James Harrington, Anthony Smith, Jonathan Smith, Michelle and Bill Santiago, Courtney Smith, Tom and Ann Bersani and Michael Bersani; great-grandchildren, Angelo and Sophia Scarsi, Nicholas Scarsi, Mark, Matthew, Andrew and John Patrick Scarsi, Chirstopher, Tessa and Zachary Scarsi, Alexander, Amelia and Julia Halpin, Rachel and Brittany Halpin, Patrick, Megan, Joseph and Jenna Halpin, Kellie and Eric Harrington, Anthony and Joseph Smith and Liam Sprague. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 9:30 AM in the Thomas J. Pirro Funeral Home and 10:30 AM in Assumption Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM. Contributions may be made to Assumption Church Food Pantry.
