Carmella R. (Catalano) Tangredi's Obituary
Carmella R. (Catalano) Tangredi, 86, of Liverpool, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Crouse Hospital. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Grace (Lofaso) and Frank Catalano. Carmella was employed with New York Telephone for 20 years before retiring. Carmella adored her family and loved cooking for them and having everyone close to her.
Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Carmen Tangredi in 1990 and her brothers, Patrick and Anthony Catalano.
Carmella is survived by her son, Richard J. “Rick” (Lauren) Tangredi of Baldwinsville; her daughter, Linda M. Burns (Gordon Avery) of Liverpool; five grandchildren, David (Jess) Burns, Jeffrey (Erin) Burns, Michael Tangredi, Nina Tangredi, and Philip Tangredi; four great-grandchildren, Riley, Devin, Carson, and Carmen; sister-in-law, Patricia Catalano; several nieces and nephews, and her beloved cat, “Wally”.
A funeral service in celebration of Carmella’s life will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, October 3, 2014 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
