Carmella (Carfagno) Zeppetello's Obituary
Carmella (Carfagno) Zeppetello, 90, of Syracuse, went home peacefully to the Lord on Friday. She was born in Syracuse and was a graduate of North High School. Carmella worked at Learbury Clothing for a few years where she met her husband and love of her life, Gerald. She retired from Genesee Uniform Shop after more than15 years of service. She was a communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Church and a longtime member of its Altar Rosary Society and was also a member of the Catholic Golden Agers at Assumption Church. Carmella loved to sew, read and cook and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Zeppetello in 1995 and her son, Anthony Zeppetello on August 5, 2013. Carmella is survived by her son, Daniel (Rosemarie) Zeppetello of Fairmount; two daughters, Angela Zeppetello of Camillus and Geralyn (David) Hains of Maryland; five grandchildren, Jered Zeppetello, Anson Zeppetello, Daren Zeppetello, Allison Zeppetello and Crystal (Christopher) Vitale; three great-grandchildren, Jordan, Madyson and Daymien Zeppetello and her brother, Daniel Carfagno of Ohio.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 10:00 am in St. Charles Borromeo Church, where a funeral mass will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
