Carmen "Tony" Cirino's Obituary
Carmen "Tony" Cirino, 90, of Liverpool passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 10, 2023. Born in Onondaga, NY, son of the late Frank and Mary (Bongevengo) Cirino, Carmen was raised in Liverpool and graduated from Liverpool High School, class of 1951. He worked at Heid's of Liverpool while in high school and then served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Carmen worked as a draftsman at Carrier Transicold in East Syracuse; he was promoted to supervisor and retired in 1990. He enjoyed bowling, gardening, hunting, and making homemade wine.
Carmen is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Louise (Vona); his daughter, Maria Cirino; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, 13212. Funeral services will be on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. in Epiphany Parish (formerly St. Joseph the Worker Church), 1001 Tulip St., Liverpool. A private burial will take place in Assumption Cemetery.
