Carmen Giamartino's Obituary
Carmen Giamartino, 75, of Central Square, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, surrounded by his beloved family. He was born in Syracuse to the late Carmen and Elaine (Santilli) Giamartino and owned and operated Capaco, Inc., formerly Carmen’s Paper Company, a family business founded by his father in 1958. Carmen was a comedian at heart and always the life of the party. In his spare time, he loved going to the casino, travelling, and enjoyed many various water sports and four wheeling.
Carmen is survived by his loving wife, Young Kim; his children, Christine (Brian) Cahill, Kelly (Mark) Leishear, and Michelle (George) Giamartino- Smith; his step-children, Christina and Paula Thompson; 7 grandchildren, Tyler, Isabella, Liam, Claire, Abby, Braxtyn, and Amilia; along with several cousins and very close friends.
A calling hour will take place from 9:45 – 10:45 am on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 425 Beechwood Ave, Liverpool, immediately followed by funeral mass in celebration of Carmen’s life at 11:00 am at the church.
