Carmen J. Lapine's Obituary
Carmen J. Lapine, 55, of Liverpool, passed away unexpectedly at his home on December 4, 2023.
He was born in Cold Spring, New York, and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Clarkson University in 1990. Carmen was a Professional Engineer, and a Principal at Beardsley Design Associates in Syracuse, where he also served on the Board of Directors as Director of Finance for the company.
Carmen was a dedicated husband, devoted father, loving son, and faithful friend.
He was proud of his two sons and all of their academic and athletic accomplishments, including karate and baseball. He was an avid baseball and football fan, and loyal SU football season ticket holder for over 25 years. Carmen truly loved time spent with family, including the extended baseball community, as it provided him the greatest joy.
Carmen leaves behind his loving wife of 27 years, Denise M. (Canestraro) Lapine; his two cherished sons, Nicholas J., and Anthony C. Lapine; his parents, Carmen and Maryann (Roberti) Lapine; his in-laws, David and Patricia Canestraro; siblings, Debbie Lapine, Christopher (Jennifer) Lapine, and Joseph (Linda) Lapine; his sister-in-law, Dena (Marc) Holler; his nieces and nephews, Matthew and Melina Holler and Madison, Dominic, Nina and Kaitlyn Lapine, and several cousins.
A funeral Mass in celebration of Carmen’s life will be held at 9:30 am on Monday, December 11, 2023, at Epiphany Parish (formerly St. Joseph the Worker Church) 1001 Tulip St., Liverpool, NY, followed by entombment at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville, NY. Family and friends may call from 2:00 – 5:00 pm on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
