Carmen V. Tripodi's Obituary
Carmen V. Tripodi, 86, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse and served with the US Army during WWII. Carmen was a Grade Foreman for Local 333, retiring in 1985 and was also a meat cutter for Collins and Company for over 20 years. He was an avid golfer and a ski instructor for over 15 years at Song Mountain.
He was predeceased by his parents, Alfonso and Giovanni (Chirico) Tripodi; his sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Michael Creno; his sister, Antoinette Tripodi and his brother-in-law, Patrick Nappi.
Carmen is survived by his loving wife, Susan J. (O'Melia) Tripodi; his two sons, Brian (Theresa) Morey and Joseph Tripodi; a grandson, Zach Colton; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bruce and Norma (VanDuesan) O'Melia; his sister, Kathyrn Nappi and his brother, Joseph (Rose) Tripodi.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 10:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
