Carol Ann V. Domres' Obituary
Carol Ann (Vitiello) Domres, 81, of Clay, NY, passed away May 30, 2024, from complications of Multiple Myeloma. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Ralph and Genevieve (Daino) Vitiello and graduated from North High School. Carol retired from AT&T after many dedicated years. She was an avid reader, moviegoer, appreciated local dining and loved to end the day with “her” newsman, David Muir. Her greatest joy was being a grandma.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her twin grandsons, Will and Ben English, and her former spouse, William Domres.
Carol is survived by her two daughters, Lori Ann (Bill) English and Amy Grant (“Big B”); grandchildren, Emily Grant, Luke English and Nik Grant; her brother, Ralph (Marilyn) Vitiello; 2 nieces, and 1 nephew, Mathew (Barbara) Vitiello, Beth (Craig) Marrano, Lynn (Brendan) Monaghan; 6 great nieces and nephews, along with many “favorite” cousins and best friend, Elizabeth.
Thank you to the wonderful staff at HOA, (especially her favorite nurse, Robin), Upstate ER and SICU for providing comfort care in her final hours.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024, from 9:45 – 10:45 am, followed by a funeral Mass in celebration of Carol’s life at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St., Syracuse, NY.
