Carol, you and I grew up only four and a half blocks apart, yet our paths did not cross until 1990. When we finally met, a friendship formed quickly, brought together by our shared experiences of relationships that hadn't worked out.
Over the next five years, we shared countless conversations and slowly became comfortable with ourselves and with being alone. As we stopped searching for that special relationship, our admiration and friendship naturally grew into something deeper.
Through years of our connection, we came to realize that we had fallen in love with each other. Discovering my one true love in Carol filled me with such joy.
Though our 29 years together felt far too short, I cherish every moment and memory we created. Carol, you are and will always be the love of my life. Until we are together again, I will hold you close in every memory within my heart.

So many memories....we met in 6th grade, became friends almost immediately & promptly flunked that 6th grade together. Graduated from high school together & our shenanigans continued for many years. My condolences to Sharon & Carol's families. RIP my friend.
I graduated from high school with Carol. She came to St. John’s from St. Vincent’s, and we became friends right away. Over the years we would see each other here and there, but always had tons to talk about. I am sorry she is no longer in this world. I hope she’s at peace. My condolences to all of her family and friends.
