Cary T. DiCosta Sr.'s Obituary
Cary T. DiCosta, Sr., 85, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2024, at the Francis House with his loving family by his side. Cary was best known as the owner and operator of Gene’s furniture, a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, avid boater, and lover of family and water. He enjoyed fishing, water skiing, and swimming. Cary was a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy and celebrated numerous gatherings with his long-time 1956 classmates and friends.
He was very proud of his Italian heritage, devoted to faith, his wife of 60 years, Kathleen (Viggiano) DiCosta, 3 children, Maria (Steve) Pinto, Gina (Craig) Giancola, and Cary (Sandra) DiCosta, Jr.; 7 grandchildren, Brianna, Brittany, Brooke, Philip, Alessia, Joseph, Natalie, and Janeé; and 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Tom (Dorothy) DiCosta; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of Cary’s life will be announced and held at a later date.
