LCpl Casey Ryan Hayden's Obituary
LCpl Casey “Little Fella” “Himz” Ryan Hayden, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at Twentynine Palms Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center. He was 23 years old.
Casey was a member of the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division. He was stationed at Twentynine Palms as an Ammunitions Technician. He joined the Corp in October 2014. He graduated from the Corps quartermaster school in March 2015. He served in a string of California units, including, 11th Marines and Combat and Logistics Regiment 15, both at Camp Pendleton. Prior to his commitment to his country, Casey was part of the Navy Jr. ROTC throughout his 4 years of high school. He was also active in several sports including baseball, basketball, and football.
Casey enjoyed the simple things in life, spending time with his family, fishing/gaming with his stepdad, playing ball with his friends, video games with his nephews and cousins and he never missed an opportunity to tell his mother he loved her.
Casey is survived by his mother, Sherry Riker; his stepfather, Rich Hildebrandt; his son, Oliver Richard Hayden; ex-spouse, Brenda Hermosillo-Najar; maternal grandparents, Ed & MaryLou Morse; siblings, Nicole Harold, Erica Harold, Neal Harold, Lynae (Josh) Harold, Kenneth (Sydney) Hayden, Taylor (Daequan) Carr, Sr., Dallas Hayden, & Samuel Hayden; 14 nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, George & Marlene Hayden, and his beloved “Honey” Paris.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm, immediately followed by a Funeral Service in celebration of Casey’s life at 6:00 pm in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY, with a funeral repass following held at Valley American Legion, 110 Academy St., Syracuse, NY 13207 at 7 pm.
