Catherine J. (Tricoma) Corso's Obituary
Catherine J. (Tricoma) Corso, 101, of Mattydale, NY, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Monday, October 20, 2014. She was born in Sicily, Italy and came to the United States at the age of 8. Catherine was a communicant of St. Margaret’s Church in Mattydale. She loved cooking and making sure her friends and family were well fed.
She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Corso in 1988; her two granddaughters, Jennifer and Stacie Hodges, her two sisters, Rose Gorski and Beatrice Steele, and her brother, Sam Bulla.
Catherine is survived by her daughter, Roseann (Stephen) Hodges of Kirkville; her son and caregiver, Charles Corso of Mattydale; her granddaughter, Kelly Hodges of Kirkville, along with many nieces and nephews.
Catherine’s family would like to give special thanks to Gentiva Nurses and Aids for their special care.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, October 24, 2014 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Catherine’s life at 10:00 am in St. Margaret’s Church, Mattydale. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
