Catherine "Cathy" (Dominguez) Cunningham's Obituary
Catherine “Cathy” (Dominguez) Cunningham, 77, of Liverpool, passed away August 9, 2025 at Upstate Hospital in Syracuse surrounded by her family. She was born in Oxnard, CA, daughter of the late Michael Dominguez and Agnes Ahern (Trejo). Cathy worked in real estate for many years, and after retirement, she was a caregiver. She loved her Starbucks and was a member of Northside Church in Liverpool. Cathy enjoyed crafting, especially knitting, and going to craft fairs. She also enjoyed playing Bingo, going to casinos and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her daughter, Roxane Howe; her brother-in-law, Harland Cunningham and sister-in-law, Judy Kenyon.
Cathy is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Dennis R. Cunningham; her daughter, Denise (Robert) White; her son, D. Scott (Katherine) Cunningham; eight grandchildren, Cody, Morgan, Nicole, Anthony, Logan, Aidan, Anthony and Callen; two great grandchildren, Liam and Madelyn; siblings, Gloria Allen, Irene Castellanos, and Rae Dean (Michael) Berry; sisters-in-law, Joann Cunningham, Donna (Fred) Kolpher, Pam (John) Cassidy, Jolene (Karl) Peterson, Brenda (Dane) Halse and Therese Cunningham; her cherished dog Riley, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Special thanks to Dr. Stephen Graziano and his staff at Upstate Cancer Center, and to the nurses on Unit 6i at Upstate Hospital.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Cathy’s life at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
