Catherine V. (Lenhart) Stankosky's Obituary
Catherine V. (Lenhart) Stankosky, 90, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2023. She was born in Syracuse to the late Fred and Ethel Lenhart and lived in Syracuse for most of her life. She graduated from business school and worked as a secretary for International Harvester and later for Hoffman Air and Filtration. While working at Hoffman Air and Filtration, she met the love of her life, John Stankosky and they married on September 3, 1977. Catherine loved to play the piano and make crafts and clothing, she was especially proficient at sewing, knitting, tatting, embroidery, beading, crocheting, and needlepoint. She also enjoyed reading fictional mystery crime novels.
Catherine is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, John Stankosky; her nieces, Dianne Beyler and Patricia Nosholm and her nephews, Craig Lee and Michael Schmitte.
To my beautiful beloved wife, Kate. You were the best thing that ever happened to me. You made me a better person just being with you. I will miss you so very much now that you have departed this world, but I am comforted in the fact that you are no longer suffering from the severe pain you have endured for so long. You are the love of my life, and I love you with my whole heart and being!
