Catherine E. "Kay Kay" (Perioli) Verone's Obituary
Catherine E. “Kay Kay” (Perioli) Verone, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 12, 2019 after a battle with cancer. Born in Perugia, Italy in 1930, she came to America in 1937. Catherine was a businesswoman who owned R.K. Verone Fashions in Syracuse for many years. She was active in the Northside Business Association, serving as Vice-President. Kay had a love for art and fashion.
Catherine is predeceased by her parents, Erminio and Maria (Fiorucci) Perioli; stepfather, Agostino DiMassimo; her husband, Michael J. Verone, Sr.; twin sister, Filomena Perioli; sister, Rose Tolerico, and brother, Louis Perioli.
Catherine is survived by her sons, Michael (Carol) Verone and Robert Verone; granddaughters, Danielle (Cory) Murray and Michelle Verone; twin great-granddaughters, Giavanna and Olivia Murray; several brothers and sisters-in-law, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
At Catherine's request, private calling hours for her family will be Monday, September 16, 2019 from 10:30 am – 11:30 am, followed by a funeral service in celebration of Catherine’s life at 11:45 am at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
