Catherine A. (Muratore) Soccocio's Obituary
Catherine A. (Muratore) Soccocio, 75, formerly of Cicero, NY, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care in Georgia.
She was a graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy High School. Catherine was employed with Syracuse University for 20 years as an Administrative Secretary for the School of Education and College of Law.
Her greatest joys were cooking for her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved her trips to the casino.
Catherine is survived by her husband of 54 years, Thomas R. Soccocio, Sr.; her children, Tom Jr. (Kelly) Soccocio of Clay, NY and Lynnore (Brayton) Hamblen of Alpharetta, GA; her six grandchildren, Shannon, Kristin, Nicholas, Madison, MacKenzie and Dillon; her brothers, Fred (Carolyn) Muratore and Gary (Rika) Muratore, along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Monday, March 26, 2018 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. A Funeral Mass in celebration of Catherine’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 10:00 AM in St. Rose of Lima Church. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery & Mausoleum in Dewitt, NY.
