Cathleen M. (Dann) Nappa's Obituary
Cathleen M. (Dann) Nappa, 42, of Liverpool, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018. Cathy’s kind heart and wonderful personality resonated in everything, and with everyone, she touched; she always sought the opportunity to help others. Cathy was very instrumental in establishing a local Teen MOPS chapter, an organization focused on providing support and guidance to young mothers in the Syracuse, NY area. Her love and compassion through this program positively impacted many lives. For many years she organized a Christmas event that benefited residents at the Salvation Army shelter in Syracuse. Over the past several years, she worked as a Teaching Assistant in the Liverpool Central School District, a position that she took great pride in as it was an opportunity for her to work with many young children.
Above all, Cathy’s greatest pride and joy in life came from the love for her family. She cherished the family trips, parties, and quiet time with her 3 beautiful daughters and husband Jon. They were the light of her life, and Cathy’s amazing impact on others will live on through them.
She was predeceased by her mother, Priscilla (Wyatt) Dann.
Cathy is survived by her husband, Jonathan D. Nappa; her 3 daughters Gionna, Melaina, and Eliana Nappa; her father, William Dann; 3 siblings, Steven (Bonnie) Dann, Michael (Maureen) Dann, and Cynthia Dann; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service in celebration of Cathy’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at 10:00 AM at Word of Life Assembly of God, Baldwinsville. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY 13212.
