Cathy "Cathie" Ann (Aloi) Paradiso's Obituary
Cathy “Cathie” Ann (Aloi) Paradiso, 71, of Bernhards Bay, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on October 1, 2023.
Cathie was born to Stephen and Marion (Donath) Aloi, and grew up in Syracuse with her brothers, Stephen and John Aloi, and her sister, Linda (Aloi) Camarda. Her siblings all predeceased her and were her life-long best friends. She was also predeceased by her son, Roger Paradiso; daughter, Catherine Paradiso; grandson, Martin Andrewski, and step grandsons, Joseph and Cory Andrewski.
Cathie was the beloved wife “Babes” of Roger Paradiso. They were married for 54 years. Their loving affection was evident to all who knew them. Cathie is also survived by two daughters, Christina Paradiso (son-in-law, Matthew Lindberg), and Tracy Ann Andrewski (son-in-law, Martin Andrewski). Cathie was the proud grandmother of Teddie and Claudia Lindberg and Alexandra Andrewski; and step-grandmother to Brandon Andrewski. She was a nurturing Aunt Babes to many nieces and nephews.
Cathie loved spending time and traveling with her family and cheering on her children and grandchildren. She also loved watching the weather over Oneida Lake, and enjoyed ice fishing, tracking game, and spending time in the woods with Roger. Cathie’s hospitality was legendary. She loved to welcome and cook for family, friends, and strangers who would become friends. She was like a second mother to many. Cathie had a gift for making every birthday and holiday feel extra special and spent many hours making crafts and gifts.
Cathie was feisty and caring and a fierce advocate when needed. Many came to her for sound advice. She will be deeply missed.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 11 am – 12 pm, followed by a funeral service in celebration of Cathie’s life at 12:15 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL Home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
