Rev. Msgr. Charles J. Fahey, 90, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully in his home at Nottingham Independent Living, a Loretto community, on November 5, 2023. Father Fahey was born in Baltimore, MD to the late Elizabeth and Charles Read Obituary
It was always a pleasure to attend board meetings with Msgr. at the helm and be part of his mission. When speaking, it always felt he was talking directly to you with his positive outlook. My thanks to his family and friends and God for sharing him.

Sincere condolences to Fr Fahey's family from all the Lee family in Limerick, Ireland. Fr Fahey was a true friend to both of our aunts, Sr Mary Eileen Power MFIC and Sr Angela Frances Power MFIC. He tended to Sr Mary Eileen during her long illness and death in 1970 and had remained a lifelong friend of our parents George and Margaret Lee throughout their lives. Monsignor Fahey was one of the best priests ever. He taught me religious education at Saint Vincent de Paul through my grammar school years. Whenever he would see me he would always greet me with a big hug and a big hug goodbye. He has definitely earned his wings into Heaven. RIP Monsignor Fahey 🙏🏻💔
