Charles A. Lamacchia's Obituary
Charles A. Lamacchia, 69, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL. Born in Syracuse, son of the late Catherine R. (Amato) Lamacchia and Anthony P. Lamacchia, Charles was a graduate of Bishop Grimes High School and SUNY Oswego. He was a sports broadcaster for WFBL and later worked with Joel Mareiness on Channel 3, WSTM-TV.
Along with his parents, Charles was predeceased by his brother, Michael Lamacchia.
Charles is survived by his brother, Anthony M. Lamacchia; sister, Kathleen A, Lamacchia; nieces, Julie Lamacchia, and Jamie (Steve) Brown; a nephew, A.J. Lamacchia; 2 great-nieces, Emma, and Josie, as well as several cousins.
A calling hour will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022, from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Charles’ life at 11:00 am in the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY 13212. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
