Charles Salvatore Marchione, Sr.'s Obituary
Charles Salvatore Marchione, Sr., 87, of Chittenango, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 18, 2025, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Utica, NY to the late, Charles and Angeline (Cortese) Marchione.
Charles retired from New Process Gear and was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. He loved spending his time bowling and golfing. Charles was a communicant of Our Lady of Hope Church for many years.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his mother and father-in-law, Grace and Joseph Greco; his brother, James Marchione, and brothers-in-law, James Riccardi and Frank Greco.
He is survived by, his loving spouse, Marie (Greco) Marchione, his children, Deborah (Robert) Torrick, Anthony Marchione, Charles Marchione, Jr., and Joseph Marchione; his grandchild, Stevie Marie Torrick; his great-grandchild, Mario Salvatore Koon; his sisters, Blanche Riccardi and Marie (Peter) Starr; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Elaine and Joseph Furgol; many nieces and nephews whom he was very close with; along with his close friends, Judy and Mark Buffrum, Gerard and Gerry Roy, Rose Cregg, Jack Green, and Robin Luckwaldt, who was like another daughter to him.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. – 11:45 A.M. in Our Lady of Hope Church, immediately followed by a funeral Mass in celebration of Charles’ life at 12:00 P.M. (noon) in the church, 4845 S. Salina Street, Syracuse.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Charles’ memory may be made to the Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave. Syracuse, NY 13208.
