Charles H. Meile's Obituary
Charles H. Meile, 79, of Liverpool, passed away Monday surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Baltimore, MD and was a U.S. Army veteran with the 82nd Airborne Division. Charles was a Pop Warner Football Coach, avid golfer and enjoyed watching and playing all sports. He was the owner and operator of Meile Construction Company, retiring after 35 years of service. Charles was a member of Abundant Life Christian Center and an active volunteer with their food pantry. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Charles loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who were a very big part of his life.
He was predeceased by his parents, Gilbert and Agnes (Garrison) Meile.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia (Shipley) Meile; 6 children, David (Nurgun) Meile of Central Square, Tammy (Ben) Arena of North Carolina, Sharon (Jeff Morgan) Young of Liverpool, Daniel (Jacki) Meile of Jamesville, Mark (Jeannine) Meile of Liverpool and Donald (Kristen) Meile of NC; 11 grandchildren, Melissa, Aaron, Bryan (Kerin), Lauren, Sarah, Daniel, Ally, Erich, Charles, Seth and Hannah; 2 great-grandchildren, Jack and Kate; 2 brothers, Gilbert Meile and Robert Meile; 2 sisters, Juanita Freeburger and Joyce (Pete) Haspert, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours for family and friends will be held from 10:00 am – 12:30 pm on Friday, November 6, 2015 at Abundant Life Christian Center, 7000 All Nations Blvd., East Syracuse, followed by a 1:00 pm service in celebration of Charles’ life.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Abundant Life Christian Center Food Pantry, 7000 All Nations Blvd., East Syracuse, NY 13057.
