Christopher J. "Dog" Dwyer's Obituary
Christopher J. “Dog” Dwyer, 63, of Clay, NY, passed away June 14, 2023 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late James and Joan (Schlie) Dwyer. Christopher served in the U.S. Air Force for 10 dedicated years. He worked as a Generator Service Technician for 30 years at Cummins Northeast in East Syracuse. Christopher enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Karen Theresa (Morrison) Dwyer; his son, Michael (Dana) Dwyer; his daughter, Nicole (Jason) Stimson; two granddaughters, Avery Dwyer and Sofia Stimson; his sister, Karen (Bruce) Flaig; his stepmother, Maryann Dwyer; his half-sister, Patti; two stepsisters, Robin and Kim, and his cat Mia.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Christopher’s life will be held at 12 pm on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by interment with Military Honors at the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse, NY. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
