Clifford A. Goodspeed's Obituary
Clifford A. Goodspeed, 81, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Crouse Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Marcellus to the late Luie and Juanita Goodspeed. He grew up on the west side of Syracuse where he met and married his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Mollie, who passed away this past June. They moved to Manlius where they raised their 2 children, Jamie and Clifford Jr. He worked for Cooper Decorating and later started his own decorating/drapery business until retiring in 2000. Clifford was a loving and caring father, husband, brother, grandfather and uncle who loved spending time with his family. He was an avid Yankee and SU fan. He was a lover of dogs and enjoyed watching birds and other wildlife. Clifford will always be remembered for his joking personality and the ability to keep us all laughing.
He is predeceased by his wife, Mollie (Perkins) Goodspeed; brother, Frank Goodspeed; and sisters, Virginia Maloney and Frances Lanno.
Clifford is survived by his daughter, Jamie (Chuck) Watson; his son, Clifford (Kari) Goodspeed, Jr.; brother, Wesley (Barb) Goodspeed; sister, Elizabeth Wright; grandchildren, Charles (Laura) Watson; Brian Watson; Bryan Phillips; Kathryn Phillips; Matthew (Ashley) Baum and their 3 daughters, Lilly Anna, Isabella and Grace; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Clifford will be forever missed and we are comforted in knowing he is in heaven with Mollie and looking down upon us until we meet again.
