Concetta "Connie" (Alteri) Mangano's Obituary
Concetta “Connie” (Alteri) Mangano, 81, of Central Square, passed away October 21, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born and raised in Cortland, NY, daughter of the late Francisco and Angelina (Costantini) Alteri. Connie relocated to Syracuse, graduated from CCBI, worked for a lawyer, and met her husband Nate. They soon fell in love, married, and raised their two children together, Natalie and Sam. The family worked together selling pastries and fruit at different markets. Soon after, Nate purchased Bianchi’s and the family business was born. Connie has been the owner and operator of Bianchi’s for 45 years.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Natale “Nate” Mangano in 1989, and her brother, Peter (Joyce) Alteri.
Connie is survived by her daughter, Natalie Mangano-Salisbury; her son, Sam A. (Lori) Mangano; her granddaughter, Olivia Mangano; Jay (Gina) Dillarcipretto, who was like a son to her; her sister, Josephine (Gene) Mironti, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Connie was a beautiful soul that treated everyone like family and will be missed by all.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm, followed by a funeral service in celebration of Connie’s life at 7:30 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Assumption Cemetery.
