Concetta (DiFato) Fortino's Obituary
Concetta (DiFato) Fortino, 83, of Syracuse, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 at Upstate University Hospital. She was born in Catania, Sicily, daughter of the late Vincenzo and Rosa (Tornatore) DiFato.
Concetta retired from Kilian Manufacturing after many years of dedicated service. She enjoyed trips to the casino, and traveling first class to Seattle to visit her son. Concetta also enjoyed cooking and spending time with family, whom she loved very much.
Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Pasquale C. Fortino in 2011; her daughter, Roseanne Fortino; her brother, John DiFato, and son-in-law, Edward Wilson.
Concetta is survived by her daughter, Grace Wilson of Syracuse; her son, Patrick Fortino of Seattle, WA; four grandchildren, Edward, Mike, Gregory, and Steven; two great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Concetta’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 15, 2018 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 12:00 – 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
