Concetta "Connie" (Manino) Piraino's Obituary
Concetta “Connie” Piraino, 74, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 24, 2016, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Locastro) Manino. Connie worked at Julius Resnick Pocketbook Factory, was a homemaker and babysat for many children in her home. She also worked as a Hospitality Hostess at the Hampton Inn for many years. After retirement, she spent her years traveling and making memories with her husband and family. Connie loved all of God’s creation and was a model of faith, planting seeds of God in many people. She was loved by many and gave generously to all she knew. She will be truly missed.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Rosemarie Piraino in 1969.
Connie is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, John Piraino; three children, Anthony J. (Jami) Piraino of Saratoga, Joseph R. (Amy) Piraino of Cicero, and Catherine A. (Donald) Cronk of Baldwinsville; five grandchildren, Anthony, Matteo, Christian, Nathan, and Sophia; her brother, James Manino of Cicero; an aunt and uncle; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Connie’s life at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
