Cora "Corky" Fragola's Obituary
Cora Elizabeth (Goodson) Fragola, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, left this earth on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 to be with the Lord. Born on June 11, 1926, “Corky” lived a life filled with family, friends, faith and generosity. Her smile included everyone she encountered and created a connection that is long remembered.
Corky was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dominick (Froggy) and six of her seven siblings. Always reminding us that “the angels are with you”, she leaves behind four children: Joy Fragola, Janice Fragola Rieth (Rob), Michael Fragola Sr. (Wendy), and Thomas Fragola (Karen); her sister, Edna Hess and a family that includes 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was also blessed with an extended family of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and friends from each generation.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 9th at 9:00 AM, at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Road, (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY and 10:00 AM in St. Margaret’s Church, Mattydale. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, August 8th, from 4 to 7 PM.
