Corinne M. (Lutz) Paestella's Obituary
Corinne M. (Lutz) Paestella, 92, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on November 25, 2019. She was born in Syracuse and worked several dedicated years as an operator for NY Telephone; she also worked in the coat department at Sibley’s for many years. Corinne taught religious education at Immaculate Heart of Mary and was an English Second Language Teacher, working out of her home as well. She also volunteered her time at Francis House. Corinne was a devout homemaker; she enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with family and friends.
She is predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Bernard “Bernie” Paestella in 2015. Corinne is survived by two sons, Richard (Janice) Paestella and John Paestella (Ellen Salvie); two daughters, Patti (Wayne) Murphy and Linda (Jack) McCarthy; six grandchildren, Billy (Cheryl), Wayne (Nicole), Jesse, Wendy (Jason), Mandy (Matt) and Missy; three great-grandchildren; Teaghan, Kaden and Finnegan, along with several nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 9 – 10 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 425 Beechwood Ave., Liverpool, immediately followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Corinne’s life at 10 am. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 7th North St., Liverpool, NY 13088.
