Cosimo P. Pagano Sr.'s Obituary
Cosimo P. Pagano, Sr. 86, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2015.
Cosimo was born in Syracuse, the son of the late Pasquale and Michelina (Panetti) Pagano.
He served with the United States Navy and was a WWII veteran. He was a charter member of the John Venditti Post. He worked as a technician with General Electric for 22 years before becoming a self-employed independent contractor.
“Papa” enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. Children, and adults alike, were fascinated by his many stories and sense of humor.
Cosimo is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Dolores (Silvia) Pagano; his 4 children, Patrick (Sandy) Pagano of Sodus, NY, Cosimo P. (Theresa) Pagano, Jr. of Syracuse, LuAnne P. (Gerald) Haskell of Liverpool, and Michele P. (Christopher) McDonald of Bridgeport; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Cosimo’s life will be celebrated with a funeral service to be held at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the Thomas J. Pirro Jr. Funeral Home, 3401 Vickery Rd., North Syracuse. A Christian Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. in St. John the Baptist Church, 406 Court St., Syracuse. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4-7 P.M at the Thomas J. Pirro Jr. Funeral Home. Contributions in lieu of flowers in Cosimo’s memory can be made to Partners in Learning-MANOS; 105 Rugby Rd. Syracuse, NY 13206.
