Cosmo Samuel Buffa's Obituary
Cosmo Samuel Buffa, 76, of Camillus, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Syracuse to the late Salvatore and Nicoletta (Lomolino) Buffa, Cosmo was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was the owner/operator of C.T.S. Trash Service for many years and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play softball and babysitting.
Along with his parents, Cosmo was predeceased by his wife, JoAnne in 2012; and his brother, Anthony in 2010.
Cosmo is survived by 3 children, Michelle Buffa, Dawn (Scott) Vanhorn, Joseph (Jaimie) Buffa; 5 grandchildren, Abagail, Sophia, Franchesca, and Santino Vanhorn, and Taylor Buffa; a sister, Marie Schwanke; a brother, Salvatore Buffa; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Cosmo’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 2, 2020 in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St. Syracuse. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. Family and friends may call on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY 13212.
