Craig Brian Schermerhorn's Obituary
Craig Brian Schermerhorn, 61, of Cicero, passed away Monday, May 26, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Syracuse and served with the US Army, Military Police from 1973 to 1974 in Ft. Monmouth, NJ. Craig was a Senior Systems Architect Programmer with Excellus Blue Cross/Blue Shield. He was an avid musician and played in the band, " Sound Judgment ". Craig was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed gymnastics and rock-climbing.
He was predeceased by his father, Robert Schermerhorn. Craig is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Pamela (DiCarlo) Schermerhorn; his daughter, Alyssa Schermerhorn of Cicero; his son, Geoffrey Schermerhorn of Cicero; his mother, Carol (Beehner) Schermerhorn of Syracuse; his brother, Robert (Yvonne) Schermerhorn, Jr. of Manlius; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and his 2 puppies, Leonardo and Emma.
A funeral service in celebration of Craig's life will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 6:30 pm in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME on Friday from 4:00 to 6:30 pm.
