Cynthia (Kallet) Ciaccio's Obituary
Cynthia (Kallet) Ciaccio, 93, of Palm Bay, Florida, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018. She was born in Syracuse, NY on April 24, 1924, and graduated from Nottingham High School and Syracuse University where she majored in music.
Cynthia and Victor met while working together at the Internal Revenue Service; they married on April 15, 1950 and moved to Palm Bay, Florida in 1972. She and Victor co-owned Bresler’s Ice Cream 33 Flavors with stores in Melbourne, Fort Pierce, and Merritt Island, FL.
Cynthia loved playing the piano and playing golf, and was a longtime member of Port Malabar, FL Country Club. Her greatest feat on the golf course was a hole-in-one at the famed 3rd hole of the Port Malabar Country Club. She was also an avid Syracuse University football and basketball fan, bridge player and excellent dancer; appearing in many musicals.
Cynthia loved traveling, including several cross country trips and many trips to Europe with her husband.
Cynthia was very friendly, outgoing and loved by everybody; she will be truly missed.
She was predeceased by her parents, Archie and Bertha Kallet, and her brother, Roger Kallet.
Cynthia is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Victor Ciaccio; many nieces and nephews including Mark (Nancy) Kallet, of Melbourne, FL., Steven (Rose) Kallet of New Orleans, LA., Maureen (Craig) Kallet-Sides of Titusville, FL., Robert (Diane) Ruffolo of Hastings, Anthony (Barbara) Campagna, Jr. of Liverpool, David (Linda) Tully of Syracuse, Lisa (David) Craig of Syracuse, James (Lucille) Campagna of Liverpool, Carol (Martin) Drexler of Marcellus, and Maria (Anthony) Corso of Camillus; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Very special thanks to Betty Arnott for her years of love, care, compassion and friendship to Cynthia.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 8:30 – 9:30 am, followed by a Funeral Service in celebration of Cynthia’s life at 10:00 am in THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, DeWitt.
