Cynthia M. "Cindy" Ianuzzi's Obituary
Cynthia M. “Cindy” (Tarbell) Ianuzzi, 85, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at The Cottages at Garden Grove surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Cortland to the late Harold and Esther (Kocher) Tarbell and was a graduate of CCBI Business School. Cindy worked for over 30 years for Gethsemane Church prior to her retirement. She was an avid SU Basketball fan and enjoyed socializing with her friends and especially loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Colonel John K. Ianuzzi and her sister, Diane Tarbell.
Cindy is survived by her children, Karen (Bill) Michalson and Terri (Wayne) Wall; her grandchildren, Rachel and Jacqueline; her sister, Nancy (James) Rooney; her close friends, Josie Kaljeskie and Fortunata Rioux; and her nephews, Kevin and Derek (Ellen) Rooney.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at The Cottages at Garden Grove for their excellent care.
Calling hours will take place from 4 – 6 pm on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUENRAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. A funeral service in celebration of Cindy’s life will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, March 3, 2023 at the funeral home, with burial to follow in North Syracuse Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gethsemane United Methodist Church, 1700 Butternut St., Syracuse, NY 13208.
