Daniel T. DeSalis' Obituary
Daniel T. DeSalis, 75, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully at Francis House in Syracuse on August 24, 2020. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Herbert and Eleanor (Allen) DeSalis. Daniel was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Vietnam. He was a member of the Cicero American Legion. Daniel was employed as a truck driver with both Walmart and Carroll’s Corp for over 47 years. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels in North Syracuse for many years. Daniel enjoyed boating, riding his motorcycle, and loved Eagles.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his grandson, Alex; two sisters and two brothers.
Daniel is survived by his longtime companion of 29 years, Nancy Russell Glumpe; two sons, Danny (Michelle) DeSalis and Mike (Maria) DeSalis; his daughter, Jacquelyn (Todd) Quill; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Christopher, Finn, Michael, Anthony, Bryanne and Daniel; his beloved dog Ginger, along with many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call from 12:00 – 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
