Daniel L. "Danny" Epolito's Obituary
Daniel L. Epolito, 45, lifelong resident of Syracuse, passed away at home on Friday, October 16, 2015. He was a self-employed carpenter and a former teaching assistant with the Syracuse City School District. Danny had a great personality and lit up any room with his smile. He was kind and loved his family. Unfortunately Danny lost his battle with the demon of addiction. We as a family deeply love and miss our Danny. If his passing can have a positive impact on just one life, we could accept his passing. While we are sad beyond belief to see him go, we are relieved that his struggle is over and he is now at peace.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Rose (William) Rosenfeld and Lawrence L. Epolito.
Danny is survived by his mother, Joan Epolito; his father, Lawrence “Duke” (Peggy) Epolito; his grandmother, Rose Epolito; his godmother, Patty (Mike) Ostuni, his brother Duke (Ken Pitcher) Epolito; sisters, Beth Ann (Dan) Burnam and Amy Epolito; four nephews, four nieces, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass in celebration of Danny’s life at 9:00 am on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at St. Daniel’s Church. At the family’s request, there will be no calling hours and burial will be private. THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME is handling funeral arrangements.
