Daniel Michael Masselle's Obituary
Daniel Michael Masselle, 48, of Syracuse, passed away at home on September 11, 2022. He was born in Syracuse, graduated from Liverpool High School, attended Harden Simmons University in Texas and OCC in Syracuse. He loved sports, but baseball and football were his passion in life. Dan was a diehard Yankee and Pittsburgh Steeler’s fan; he always rooted for his team no matter how bad the season was for them. He was in the food service industry for 25 years working at many restaurants in the Syracuse area. Anyone that Dan shared a plate with knows what a great cook he was, and he took great pride in it. He loved sharing his dishes with his friends.
He was predeceased by his father, Michael Masselle and his sister, Holly Masselle.
Dan is survived by his mother, Rebecca (Roy) Girouard; his stepfather, George Girouard; his sister, Jessica Johnson-Hoelzer; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
