Daniel H. Rufo's Obituary
Daniel H. Rufo, 91, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Elderwood at Liverpool. He was born in Syracuse to the late Enrico and Jenny (Bianchi) Rufo. Daniel was the owner and operator of Rufo’s Furniture, specializing in furniture refinishing. When he wasn’t hard at work or with his family, Daniel loved to ride his motorcycle.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (Parella) Rufo in 2006 and his brother, John Rufo.
Daniel is survived by his daughters, Deborah (Anthony) Polichemi and Diane (Dan) Sammons; his grandchildren, Jennifer Clark, Danielle Booher, Anthony (Kelly) Polichemi, and Alexis Polichemi; great-grandchildren, David, Reagan, Madelyn, Brynlee, Lucas, Eliana, Haley, Anthony “Leo”; brothers, Albert Rufo and Paul Rufo; along with several nieces, nephews and close friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Bishop Commons of Oswego and Elderwood at Liverpool for their exceptional care of Dan.
A calling hour will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 10 – 11 am immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Daniel’s life at 11 am at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. To view the service remotely, please visit Daniel's tribute page at tjpfuneralhome.com on Friday at 11 am.
