Daniel L. Russo's Obituary
Daniel L. Russo, 61, of Mattydale, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 10, 2018. He was born in Syracuse and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Daniel was a member of the American Legion Post 1832. He worked at Honeywell and most recently for Tact Air in Syracuse.
He was predeceased by his father, Victor Vito Russo in February 2018.
Daniel is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Russo; two sons, Steven Russo and Sean Russo; four grandchildren; his mother, Darlene (Hoffman) Russo; three brothers, Victor (Peggy) Russo, Ronald (Julie) Russo and Michael Russo; one sister, Debbie (Anthony) Kumiega; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, August 17, 2018 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Daniel’s life at 10:00 am in St. Margaret’s Church, Mattydale. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Minoa. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mattydale Fire Dept., 173 E. Molloy Rd., Mattydale, NY 13211.
